Steps Cottage Whitby
Steps Cottage is a two bedroomed holiday cottage at the beginning of Church Lane - "The Donkey Road" - by the foot of The 199 Steps. The cottage has magnificent views over Whitby Harbour and out to the North Sea. The cottage sleeps 4. There is a double bedroom with a superking (which can be split into 2 single beds) and a double bedroom with a regular double bed. The cottage has a modern kitchen, a full bathroom on the first floor and a wet/shower room on the ground floor. There is a newly installed central heating system. The cottage has Wifi with Amazon Prime Video & Netflix. Above the cottage, accessed by steps from the rear, is a private walled patio with a picnic table for up to 6 people. The patio has spectacular views over the 199 Steps, the harbour and the lighthouses towards the West Cliff & Sandsend and across the river to Endeavour Wharf, The Marina and The High Bridge.
The cottage is a few minutes walk away from various pubs, restaurants, shops, Tate Hill Pier & Tate Beach and a short walk along Henrietta Street to The East Pier and The Scar. The 199 Steps or The Donkey Road lead to the Church of St Mary, Whitby Abbey, Whitby Brewery and The Cleveland Way.
